Feldenkrais: Awareness through movement

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Through principles from the Feldenkrais Method we will explore some movement strategies and discover how each person's unique ways can be transformed, potentially into that playful way we used to move when we were younger! The Feldenkrais Method was founded by Moshé Feldenkrais, a Ukrainian-Israeli engineer and physicist, and it is a system of physical exercise that aims to improve human functioning by increasing self-awareness through movement. By becoming aware of how you move, you gain choices – and not just choices in the way you stand up, sit, walk or reach for a glass, but choices about how you live in the world. Along with this comes opportunities to be curious, experimental and to choose painless, perhaps even pleasurable, interactions and ways of moving.
